In a commanding demonstration of leadership and commitment to advancing gender equality, the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, OON, led the historic signing of a compact with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) during the UNFPA Gender-Based Violence and Harmful Social Norms Summit. Held at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja, this significant event gathered First Ladies from across the nation, each of whom, alongside Senator Tinubu, signed the agreement to dismantle harmful social norms and tackle the widespread issue of gender-based violence.
