AMAEKPU DEVELOPMENT UNION, ABUJA BRANCH HONOURS IKENNA UKWA WITH AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
The Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President of Nigeria, Chief (Dr) Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa has received another accolade as he was honoured with “EXCELLENCE AWARD”, from the Amaekpu Ohafia Development Union, Abuja branch during her 40th Anniversary held on Saturday 8th November 2025 at the Film Hall, Cyprain Ekwensi Arts and Culture, Garki, Abuja.
The Amaekpu Development Union, Abuja branch Chairman, Prince Kalu Nkata Emetu and the Chairman, Organizing Committee, Elder Chief Awa Arua while presenting the award plaque to him, said Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa was nominated to be honoured in appreciation of his visible and landmark achievements which reverberates across Arochukwu/Ohafia federal Constituency and beyond, adding that, he has truly written his name on the sands of time through his impactful projects which he facilitated through IKENNA & JENN UKWA FOUNDATION, an NGO he co-founded with his wife, Lolo Jennifer E. Ukwa, within the ambit of his resources and contacts.
In his response, the award recipient, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, who is an illustrious son of Amaekpu Ohafia and also a Media and Advertising guru and consultant, thanked the Executives and the organizing committee including All Amaekpu sons and daughters resident in Abuja for deeming it fit to honour him. He said the special recognition acknowledging his selfless efforts will spur him to do more, even as he is ever willing and poised to be a partner in progress and development.
Chief Ikenna, who also dedicated the award to his father, Engr Chief Eke Ukwa for his exemplary lifestyle by instilling the Ohafia spirit and bequeathing love and oneness in him and his siblings, pledged to keep advancing Ohafia’s development.
Chief Ikenna Ukwa was accompanied to the epoch making events by his friends and well wishers.
