COURTESY VISIT OF THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF ABIA STATE TO THE EXECUTIVE MAYOR OF OHAFIA LGA DURING THE 2025 EASTER CELEBRATION
Earlier today, the 2025 Easter celebration took a special turn in Abiriba, Ohafia Local Government Area, as the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, accompanied by his Deputy, His Excellency Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, FNSE, paid a courtesy visit to the country home of the Executive Mayor of Ohafia LGA, Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu.
The visit, which was both symbolic and warm, highlighted the commitment of the current administration to fostering unity, strengthening grassroots leadership, and celebrating the season of hope and renewal with the people at the local level.
Governor Otti, in his speech, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him and his entourage. He noted that such gestures reflect the strong cultural values of unity, respect, and communal love for which Abiriba and the larger Ohafia region are known.
The Governor also used the opportunity to commend the Mayor for his steadfast leadership and dedication to the development of Ohafia LGA, reiterating the importance of synergy between state and local governments in delivering democratic dividends to the people.
In his remarks, Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu welcomed the Governor and his Deputy with gratitude, acknowledging their presence as a great honor to the people of Abiriba and the entire Ohafia LGA. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the vision and developmental agenda of the state government.
