WE ARE HAPPY WITH THE TRANSFORMATION GOING ON IN ABIA STATE, ABIANS IN NEW YORK TELL MRS. OTTI.
In a heartwarming display of solidarity and appreciation, Abians in New York City, United States and Environs have expressed their satisfaction over the ongoing development in different spheres of governance in Abia State.
They made this disclosure at an event organized by Abia State Association, New York in honour of Abia First Lady, Mrs. Priscilla Chidinma Otti.
Mrs. Otti while attending the UN CSW 68th Session in New York US used the opportunity to engage with some members of the Abia community in NYC, thus fostering a sense of Pride and oneness amongst them. The gathering organized by Umuokpu- Ngwa (A women Advocacy Network) and various groups of Abia indigenes provided an invaluable opportunity to celebrate the progress being made back home.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the President Abia State Association New York, Sir Ifeanyi Ajomiwe Nwakanma expressed happiness and satisfaction with the positive transformation taking place in Abia State under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti. He highlighted various developmental projects across different sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, security and others, which he said have significantly improved the quality of life for residents.
Similarly, the President Umu-Okpu Ngwa Association, Prof. Mrs. Otuodichinma Christy Nwankpa Commended Mrs. Priscilla Otti for her contributions to Gender- Sensitive initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of Women, children, PWD and Vulnerable groups in Abia State; Prof. Mrs Nwankpa alluded to Mrs. Otti ‘s steadfast commitment to fostering positive change in the lives of this category of Abia population.
In her speech, Mrs. Priscilla Otti expressed gratitude for the warm reception and lauded the organizers for their initiative in advancing the cause of women. She highlighted the recent developmental achievements in Abia State and reaffirmed Governor Alex Otti’s determination and dedication to ensuring the protection of life and property, thereby fostering an environment conducive for business growth. She called for collaboration of Ndi Abia in Diaspora to support the Vision of a Greater Abia by bringing together their wealth of experience to further strengthen Governor Alex Otti’s developmental Strides in Abia State.
The President ASA New York, Sir Ajomiwe Nwakanma reiterated that Mrs. Priscilla Otti’s Visit serves as a symbol of solidarity and encouragement for Abians abroad, reinforcing their bond with their homeland and inspiring them to contribute to its continued growth and prosperity.
