BIRTHDAY FELICITATION TO AN ELDER STATESMAN: DR. KALU IDIKA KALU
On behalf of my family, I most respectfully felicitate with an illustrious son of Ohafia, a global icon, and a patriotic Nigerian, Dr. Kalu Idika Kalu, former Honourable Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, as he marks his birthday.
Dr. Kalu Idika Kalu is a rare breed, a scholar, a diplomat, a technocrat, and a statesman whose contributions to Nigeria’s economic development and foreign diplomacy remain indelible and legendary. As Minister of Finance, you laid a foundation of fiscal discipline. As an Ambassador Plenipotentiary, you flew the flag of Nigeria with pride and dignity on the global stage.
You are not just a pride to Ohafia LGA, you are a pride to Abia State, to Igboland, and to the entire Nigerian nation. You have shown that with integrity, intellect, and service, one can attain global relevance without losing touch with his roots.
On this special day, I pray that Almighty God will continue to bless you with long life, sound health, and more wisdom.
Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa ,
