Ikenna Ukwa Informs Amaekpu Ohafia Council of Chiefs of House of Reps Ticket, Seeks Royal Blessings
Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, APC candidate for the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, on Saturday interfaced with the Amaekpu Ohafia Council of Chiefs to formally notify them of his emergence as the APC’s flag bearer and to solicit their support and prayers ahead of the general elections.
Addressing the Regent traditional ruler of Amaekpu Ohafia and his council of Chiefs in his palace, Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa expressed appreciation to the council for their fatherly role and guidance. He assured them of “unprecedented development” across all sectors of the economy within the purview of the powers of a federal legislature if elected.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to continue making impact in the society through people-oriented programmes and projects.
“The mandate is not about me alone. It is about the progress of Arochukwu/Ohafia. With your support and prayers, we will attract more federal presence and ensure that our people feel the dividends of democracy,” he said.
In their response, the Chiefs commended him for his consistent contributions to the community. They described him as “a proud son of Ohafia whose trajectory of service speaks volumes.”
The council of Chiefs specifically acknowledged him for facilitating the installation of solar-powered street lights in needy areas of the community, the distribution of food items to women, provision of educational materials to schools, and various health interventions, among others.
The Regent Traditional Ruler of Amaekpu Ohafia community, HRM Ezieogo Dr Awa Nwankwo Mba (Epudiogba IV) who led the council, offered royal prayers and blessings for Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa’s success at the polls.
