Ikenna Ukwa Commissions Borehole Built By APC Chairman in Arochukwu LGA
Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, the APC flagbearer for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency on Sunday commissioned a water borehole constructed by the APC Chairman of Arochukwu LGA, Mazi Sunday Torty for his community in Abagwu village, Arochukwu LGA.
The borehole project was initiated and funded by Mazi Sunday Torty as part of his contribution to community development and in support of Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa’s aspiration for the House of Representatives and other APC candidates in the State.
Speaking while commissioning the facility, Hon. Ikenna Ukwa commended the Party Chairman for the initiative and commitment to addressing the immediate needs of the people, adding that access to clean water will reduce the burden on women and children and improve public health in the area.
“I appreciate the APC Chairman, Arochukwu LGA for this selfless gesture. This is true leadership by identifying a problem and solving it without waiting to be told. You have shown that party structure can directly impact the lives of our people,” Ukwa said.
He offered prayers for the sustainability and purity of the water source, asking for God’s blessings on the project and the community. “May this water bring health, life, and prosperity to every home that will drink from it and may it never run dry,” he prayed.
The APC LGA Chairman, while speaking said the project was conceived to address the immediate needs of his community and also his way of demonstrating support for all the APC candidates in the State and reaffirming the party’s commitment to service at the grassroots level.
Earlier, Chief Ikenna Ukwa, accompanied by the APC House of Assembly candidate, Arochukwu State Constituency, Prince Ike Okorafor and other party stakeholders had paid a courtesy visit to the palace of His Highness, Mazi Francis Okoro, Ezenta of Asaga Arochukwu where he was received by fans and supporters and offered kola before proceeding to Aggrey Memorial College, Arochukwu for the football tournament between Arochukwu and Ohafia.
