Ohafia School Of Thought’s One Day In-House /Town-Hall Emergency Meeting Takes Decision On Forthcoming LG Elections
The one day Crucial in house emergency meeting which had almost all the Eziogos present and President Generals of all Ohafia Communities was Presided by Chief Dr. Uduma Nnate.
The meeting whose objective was to chart a strong formidable force ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Election and developmental agenda for Ohafia Ofurishi.
The Executive Secretary of the Group Rev. Ikechukwu Ebi in his introduction maintained that Ohafia should rank amongst its peers as a Senatorial headquarters and third Biggest Urban town in ABIA State in terms of development, infrastructural facilities by Government and recognition.
The Ag. Moderator of Ohafia School of Thought Elder Ukpai O. Ndukwe in his welcome address said “we have come to sit together to talk about moving Ohafia forward”. Talk about Ohafia interest groups, Ohafia as Senatorial Headquarters, LGA Autonomy and forthcoming election; also moving OIU forward as most powerful powerful organ for Ohafia progress etc
The Chairman, Chief Dr. Uduma Nnate in his opening remarks said this meeting is timely especially with the forthcoming LG elections. He said that Ohafia Clan producing the next LG Chairman is Sacrosanct, not negotiable not only because it is our turn but because we have competent/capable people. Moreover we voted massively for Labour party unlike our Ohafia North brothers that voted PDP.
Those who presented papers included TPL Lekwa O. Ezutah, President Ohafia Improvement Union Eld. Dr. Ukpai, his deputy and Secretary.
OIU leadership cried out that appendage clubs, groups are distracting them and needs to be called to order. They are also worried about the rift between Eziogos and Autonomous Ezies. Funding is a major setback they said.
The group agreed Ohafia School of Thought should remain a THINK TANK and intelligentia for Ohafia roadmap to development while OIU should be re-engineered for effective implementation of ideas.

The group passed a Vote of Confidence on Governor Alex Otti OFR and His Deputy Ikechukwu Emetu NSE; thanked him for Assenting Greater Ohafia Development Authority (GODA) Bill
