As the 2027 Abia State House of Assembly election approaches, the people of Ohafia South State Constituency must make a deliberate choice between tested experience and mere trial.
Among the candidates seeking to represent Ohafia South, Hon. Chief Kalu Mba Nwoke (Etiokwe) stands out as a candidate with proven legislative and grassroots experience.
Before his election to the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Etiokwe served as an elected Councillor representing Ohafor Ward 1 from 2016 to 2018, during which period he also served as Deputy Leader of the 4th Legislative Council. His performance and records in that capacity remain part of his leadership history, particularly across Asaga, his immediate constituency at the time.
Today, Hon. Etiokwe is the serving Member representing Ohafia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly. Having gained valuable legislative experience over the course of his first tenure, he is seeking the mandate of the people to return for a second term and consolidate the work already begun.
Legislative representation requires more than ambition. It requires an understanding of government processes, constituency representation, legislative business, policy engagement and the ability to work effectively with the executive arm of government for the benefit of the people.
