I Will Continue to Prioritize the Welfare of Women and Children, Ikenna Ukwa Assures Nkporo Women

The APC House of Representatives candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa , has reaffirmed his commitment to prioritize the welfare of women and children across the constituency.

Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa gave the assurance in Nkporo shortly after receiving royal blessings and prayers from Eze Aja of Nkporo and his council of chiefs. He was besieged by a large gathering of women and children with a solidarity song.
Ikenna Ukwa said women have remained a focal point of his humanitarian work since the inception of the Ikenna and Jenn Ukwa Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife, Lolo Jennifer E. Ukwa.

Ikenna Ukwa added that the foundation has continued to provide welfare packages and special interventions for women, including the distribution of food items, payment of school fees, and registration of external examinations for indigent pupils and students.

“This is our way of ameliorating the sufferings of parents and reducing the burden on families,”Ukwa said.

He also said the recently concluded free medical outreach sponsored in Nkporo is a further proof of his commitment to accessible healthcare. While several communities in the federal constituency have already benefited from similar interventions, Ikenna Ukwa said plans are underway to organize a larger, constituency-wide medical outreach across other clans in Arochukwu and Ohafia LGAs.

Ikenna Ukwa further thanked the women for their solidarity and promised not to take their support for granted, pledging more people-oriented projects that will directly impact families in the constituency.

The women and children of Nkporo expressed appreciation for his interventions, particularly the solar-powered street lights facilitated for Nkporo communities. They described him as a humble and accessible leader whose acts of kindness resonate beyond Ohafia LGA.

“We have seen your works and we trust your capacity to deliver. We pledge our unalloyed support for you in the 2027 National Assembly election.”
