Dr. Uma Eleazu turns 94 today. The son of a Methodist priest, he oversaw the setting up of the Public Complaints Commission in 1973 & also of the @NIPSSKuru in 1975-78, becoming its 1st Director of Research. Because of his origins, he was denied the headship.
Dr. Uma Eleazu has been the BOT Chairman of ABIA NORTH POLITICAL PROJECTS GROUP(A Pan ABIA North Political Think Tank) whose mandate was to ensure the next Governor of ABIA State is of ABIA North extraction in line with the ABIA Charter of Equity.
He has been s pillar of support for the group financially and otherwise throughout the build-up to 2023 Governorship Election and till ABIA North Adopted Dr. Alex Otti OFR as their Consensus Candidate; and the battles for winning the election even in the face of provocations from Candidates from other political parties. Eventually he is still alive and healthy to realize his dream of a NEW ABIA.
