CELEBRATING A COLOSSUS AT 59
Some of us who lived in Abia State before the emergence of His excellency, Dr. Alex Otti as the executive governor of the state can aptly describe the sorry and gory state Abia State found herself. Without mincing words, Abia state was plunged into a pitiable, pathetic and battered state due to abysmal, senseless and reckless leadership. Abia laboured tireleslly to wriggle herself out of the intricacies occasioned by poor leadership till the man with the midas touch, Dr. Alex Otti entered the corridor of power to draw a new map for Abia State
Almost all the facets of the state’s economy collapsed and summersaulted. Those who had passion for excellent and responsible leadership wept and groaned but it seemed solution was not in sight. But God in His infinite mercy intervened and the light shone again in Abia State as the battered Abia saw His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti take over the reins of power in the state.
Since he became the governor of Abia State, the mocked, battered and rejected state has become media personalities favourite and cynosure of all eyes. In Abia State things now work, thanks to our govermor, Dr. Alex Otti and his pacesetting leadership. Suddenly the pot-holes on our roads disappeared, just like a bolt from the blues, non payment of workers salary became a thing of the past and before one could say Jack Jill, insecurity crumbled to a halt and is if that was not enough, contracts for oads that were heartlessly abandoned by previous governments were awarded.
Who says Dr. Alex Chioma Otti is not a magician when it comes to excellence in leadership. Who says that God did not hear the cry of Abians and gifted us with another ‘ Chief Bar Dr.Samuel Onunaka Mbakwe ‘ of the blessed memory. Without mincing words, l can boldly say, ” that Abia is less without Alex’. He has demystified corrupt and purposeless leadership in Abia State. He has brought smiles to the wounded people of Abia State. He has raised the hopes of those whose hopes were dashed by previous administrations. At least, pensioners now have undiluted hope anchored on a realistic promise. Life has come back to Abia State. The possibility of Abia State becomig the ‘ Dubai of Africa’ is no longer the dream of those suffering from malaria. We can see his strides, we can see his achievements,we can see his imprints, infact Abia State is excessively and immeasurably blessed to have Dr. ALEX CHIOMA OTTI as her governor.
My amiable and humble governor, you will not stumble or tumble, you are indeed a blessing to Abia State and Nigeria as a nation. You have shown that leadership is not an unsolvable chemical equation. Indeed, you have simplified leadership. You have raised the bar in political leadership without making much noise. As you celebrate your 59th birthday, may heaven celebrate you. As you have brought celebrations to many homes due to your responsive and humane leadership, I pray this good God to make celebrations to be synonimous wih your name. His excelleny, l wish you fulfilling, good health surrounded, long life clothed and favour decorated years ahead in the name of Jesus
