Catholic Knights Honours Abia Speaker & His Deputy.
The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu were today honoured by the Order of the Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria (Mater Amabilis Sub Council Umuahia).
The Award came during the 25th Year Anniversary and Thanksgiving Ceremony of the St. Mulumba Knights held at the Mater Dei Cathedral Umuahia.
According to the Knights, the Award of Honour of honour to the Speaker and his Deputy is in recognition of their philanthropy and appreciation of their immense contributions to the growth of the Universal Church and Christianity.
They thanked the Speaker who is the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency for his leadership qualities and love for the welfare of the people.
The Knights also thanked the Deputy Speaker for singlehandedly building and donating a Church Hall (CKC) for the Catholic Church in Elu Ohafia and urged him never to relent in the work of God.
Responding onbehalf of his Boss and himself, the Deputy Speaker who is also the Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu thanked the Catholic Knights for the Honour done to them and pledged their continues support to the Catholic Church.
The 25th Anniversary/Thanksgiving Ceremony of the St. Muluma Knights which featured cutting of the Anniversary cake saw other important personalities like Senator Mao Ohuabunwa who was represented by Chief J. J. Okoro and others receiving Awards for their contributions towards the development of the Church.
