
Lodu Imenyi Women Organization Holds Strategic Consultation With Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC )Abia State Leaders, Reaffirms Support For Peter Obi Presidency
The National Leadership of the Lodu Imenyi Women Organization has held a strategic consultation with the leadership and candidates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, hosted by Ambassador E. O. Philips, Secretary of the NDC Elders Caucus, Abia State, at his country home in Lodu Imenyi, Bende Local Government Area, brought together key NDC leaders, candidates and women leaders from the area.
In attendance were the NDC Abia State Governorship Candidate, Elder Ndubuisi Etugo Ogah; Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole, Abia North Senatorial Candidate; Emeka Philips, candidate for Bende South State Constituency; and Barr. Jonas Bende, candidate for Bende North State Constituency.
Also present were Hon. Emeka Okafor, Director-General of the Etugo Campaign; Hon. Ken Okere, Secretary, NDC Abia State; Mr. Okoro Okeke, NDC Zonal Chairman, Abia North; and Mrs. Amarachi Ononogbu, who led the National Leadership of the Lodu Imenyi Women Organization.









The consultation focused on strengthening grassroots engagement, consolidating support for the NDC and building a formidable political structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
The gathering also underscored the NDC’s presidential agenda, with participants aligning with the party’s push to deliver Peter Obi as Nigeria’s President in 2027, while mobilising support for the party’s candidates across Abia State.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the women leaders and NDC stakeholders to exchange views on the political direction of Abia State and the need for greater grassroots participation in the 2027 electoral process.
