SDP Arochukwu LGA Chapter Endorses Ikenna Ukwa for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency Seat
In a major political development ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Arochukwu LGA chapter has unanimously endorsed Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
The endorsement was contained in a communique dated 6th August 2026 and signed by the SDP Arochukwu LGA Chairman, Elder Nnanna Isaac Uwakwa, and Secretary, Chief Agwu Ogbonnaya Godwin, including all the Chairmen of the party in all the 11 wards in Arochukwu LGA. It was issued after an extensive meeting of the Executive Committee, Ward Chairmen, Stakeholders, and members of the party in the LGA.
“After consultations with members and critical stakeholders, the SDP Arochukwu LGA resolved to place the progress, unity, peace, and sustainable development of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency above partisan considerations and unanimously resolved to endorse Hon. Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa of the APC for the House of Representatives seat”.
According to the communique, the decision was borne out of their conviction that Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa possesses the vision, competence, capacity, experience, and commitment required to provide effective representation, attract meaningful development projects, promote inclusive governance, and advance the welfare and prosperity of the people of Arochukwu and Ohafia Federal Constituency.
The party, in addition, expressed confidence that his leadership will foster economic growth, youth empowerment, infrastructural development, education, healthcare, and improved quality of life, and, therefore, directed all members, supporters, and political associates across the 11 wards of Arochukwu LGA to work in unity, mobilize grassroots support, and vote overwhelmingly for Ikenna Ukwa in the 2027 National Assembly general election.
