Inyom Amaekpu Ohafia Offers Prayers For Ikenna Ukwa, Expresses Confidence In His Capacity To Deliver
Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa , APC candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency met with the Inyom Amaekpu Ohafia to formally intimate them of his aspiration to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.
Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa in his speech said his decision to contest was borne out of a desire to attract more federal presence and deepen development across Arochukwu and Ohafia. He pledged to prioritize women empowerment, healthcare, education, and economic programmes if elected.
“I am here to inform you that I have emerged as the candidate of our party, APC to vie for the position of House of Representatives, and seek your blessings and support during election. I am not here for campaigns but rather to have our regular interface. Women are the backbone of our homes and communities. My representation will ensure that your voices are heard at the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly,” he said.
The women, who were visibly elated, lauded Chief Ikenna Ukwa for his consistent development strides in the area.
Speaking on behalf of the Women, the President of Inyom Amaekpu Ohafia appreciated him for always prioritizing the welfare of women through the regular distribution of food items, fertilizers, and health interventions for the elderly and children.
She further noted that his consistent provision of educational materials, payment of school fees, and sponsorship of WAEC/NECO registration for their children has brought significant relief to many households.
“We have watched you over the years. You have not waited to be in office before helping our people. You give to the widows, you support our children in school, and you care for our health. That is why we are happy to identify with you,” she said.
The women offered heartfelt prayers for Chief Ukwa, asking God Almighty to protect, guide, and grant him success in his bid to represent Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency come 2027.
