
GOV. OTTI CELEBRATES LEGACY OF LATE EZE NWACHUKWU, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO ABIA PEOPLE

Abia State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has paid glowing tribute to the late traditional ruler of Nneoyi Amaise Autonomous Community, HRM Eze Sir George Eneogwe Nwachukwu, describing him as a rare gift to humanity whose life was defined by excellence, integrity, service, and dedication to education.
Speaking at the burial service held at St. Martin’s Anglican Church, Nneoyi Amaise, Governor Otti noted that the late monarch, who passed on at the age of 93, lived a fulfilled life and left behind a legacy worthy of celebration. He recalled that Eze Nwachukwu was once his teacher, praising his immense contributions to education, community development, and nation-building.
The Governor urged family members and well-wishers to take solace in the remarkable life and accomplishments of the revered monarch, emphasizing that he had completed his earthly assignment with honor and distinction.











Governor Otti also used the occasion to reaffirm his administration’s commitment to people-oriented governance, assuring Abians that his government would continue to deliver quality infrastructure, improved healthcare, free education, and other developmental initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
In his sermon, Archbishop Isaac Nwaobia of Aba Diocese reminded the congregation that life is temporary and challenged everyone to live purposefully in service to God and humanity, stressing that every individual would ultimately be rewarded according to their deeds.
On behalf of the family, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Sir Uzor Nwachukwu, expressed gratitude to the Governor, government officials, church leaders, traditional rulers, friends, and well-wishers for their support and prayers, while pledging to uphold the noble values for which his late father was known.
The burial ceremony was attended by the Governor’s wife, Her Excellency Mrs. Priscilla Otti, the Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, Commissioners, top government officials, traditional rulers, and other dignitaries.
