Ambassador Dr Osita Offor, UAAP, Celebrates Hon. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu on His Birthday
The United Abia Artistes and Patriots (UAAP) Forum, under the leadership of Ambassador Dr Osita Offor, “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburugburu), has joined in celebrating the birthday of one of Abia State’s distinguished leaders, Dr Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu, Honourable Commissioner for Transport under the able leadership of the indefatigable Gov. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.
Previously serving as Commissioner in charge of Trade, Commerce, and Industry, Dr Ukaegbu has demonstrated exceptional versatility and commitment to public service. Under his watch as Commissioner for Transportation, Abia State has witnessed tremendous and innovative transformation in the sector. Notable achievements include the introduction of approximately 70 electric buses under the enhanced transport scheme (with more to follow), the construction of ultra-modern metro stations, the restructuring of the state’s transport organisation, and the phasing out of outdated practices, including “Agboro-ism” and “Thoutism.” These accomplishments stand as a testament to Governor Otti’s meticulous approach in appointing capable hands—square pegs in square holes.
In a heartfelt message, Ambassador Offor lauded Dr Ukaegbu for his exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to public service, and remarkable contributions to the development of Abia State. “Your dedication, integrity, and visionary approach to governance continue to inspire not just your colleagues, but all citizens of Abia State,” he said.
