
CONGRATULATIONS TO MISS GRACE NKPA FOR MAKING ABIA PROUD IN THE GLOBAL WORLD
It is with immense joy that I extend my warmest congratulations to Miss Grace John Nkpa, a 15 year old, grade 12 student of Academic Planet School, Aba, from Abiriba in Ohafia LGA of Abia State for making history as the only Abia selected to be among the 3 successful candidates from 3 States in Nigeria (Abia, Delta and FCT), that will represent Nigeria for the prestigious TechGirls 2025 International Exchange Program in the United States of America.
TechGirls International Exchange Program, is a global initiative for the manpower development of the Girl-Child sponsored by the US Department of State for Education and Culture.
The successful teenage girls are selected strictly on merit from 37 countries around the world (3 representing each country) who share a passion for STEM, Leadership and Global Innovation, are assembled at the Virginia Tech University, USA, to undergo various training alongside the brightest young minds across the globe.



This trailblazing achievement is truly a groundbreaking moment for Abia State and Nigeria as a whole. And her accomplishment will undoubtedly inspire countless young individuals, particularly women, to pursue careers in STEM fields. Her selection among the esteemed group of TechGirls 2025 is a reflection of her outstanding abilities and potential and I have no doubt that she will excel in this program and make meaningful contributions to the global tech community.
