SIGNING OF KALU’S BILLS ESTABLISHING 3 TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS IN ABIA, IMO INTO LAW BY MR PRESIDENT: IKENNA UKWA FETES DEPUTY SPEAKER

The Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President of Nigeria, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa has expressed profound joy and gratitude to the President, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu , GCFR for signing into law three bills sponsored by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Benjamin Okezie Kalu , establishing the;

  • Federal College of Education, Bende, Abia State,
  • Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Item Bende, Abia State, and
  • Federal University Okigwe, Imo State.

Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa described the development as unprecedented and a monumental achievement, emphasizing that the establishment of these institutions will undoubtedly have a profound impact on the socio-economic development of Abia State, by providing opportunities for thousands of students to access quality education and creation of employment opportunities to the unemployed.

“Your legacy as a champion of education and development in Abia State continues to inspire hope and confidence in your leadership. This achievement is a shining example of your dedication to the progress and prosperity of your constituents. The inauguration of these tertiary institutions will enhance access to higher education, foster economic growth and development, increase opportunities for job, skill acquisition and development and improve the overall quality of life for residents and beyond”, he added.
