168 Ohafians Shortlisted For Final Screening And Enlistment Into The OHAFIA HALL OF FAME: A Compendium of 100 Most Influential Ohafians In Nigeria And Diaspora
About a month ago, Abia Think Tank Online Newspaper (AttNews) in Collaboration with NATDUMAS COMMUNICATIONS, Ohafia School Of Thought, SKOG EVENT COMPLEX and others made a public and media presentation of their compilation of the first ever comprehensive OHAFIA HALL OF FAME: A Compendium of 100 Most Influential Ohafians In Nigeria And Diaspora.
The organizers said, the Book of reference shall capture Ohafia people living in Nigeria and Diaspora who have made Marks in their chosen careers and imparted positively to humanity and in the development of the different communities in Ohafia.
They went ahead to set up a 11 Man Screening Committee headed by Hon. Chief MBA Ukaha (Former 2 terms House of Assembly Member and TC Chairman of Ohafia LGA); Dr. Ody Ajike Esq as Secretary and others drawn from 5 Wards of Ohafia who shall objectively and sincerely screen individuals that will make the final list based on laid down objective acceptable parameters.
In the words of the Chairman of the Screening Committee Chief MBA Ukaha, the final screening exercise will not be cash and carry but for individuals that have imparted on humanity and their various communities positively. When asked if politicians will not hijack the process? He said both politicians and non politicians will pass through the same selection process and only those that meet up their assessment criteria will make the final list.
The book shall identify and celebrate talents, ingenuity, pragmatism, risk appetite and all genuine human endeavors to the development of Ohafia Community first and the society in general.
