The Great Igbo Achievers Legacy Day Celebration Draws Closer
As the year 2024 progresses, anticipation is building for the Great Igbo Achievers Legacy Day Celebration, an event dedicated to honoring the most distinguished Igbo personalities across various fields of endeavor. This prestigious event is marked by the ongoing nomination process for the First Eleven Distinguished Personalities—a group of exceptional Igbo achievers who have made monumental contributions in their respective areas. The nomination process is currently active and will conclude on the 15th of November 2024.
Heralds of the Igbo Great Achievers are encouraged to begin nominating individuals who stand out as “Who is Who” in Igbo land—those whose remarkable achievements have left lasting legacies. Nominations should be supported by solid evidence of each nominee’s contributions to their field, highlighting their uncommon and monumental landmarks. This is an opportunity to celebrate these outstanding individuals on a day set aside to honor and recognize their efforts—the Great Igbo Achievers Legacy Day Celebration.
The nominations will culminate in the grand celebration, where the selected achievers will be honored under the keen guidance of the Twenty-Four Elder-Statesmen National Advisory Council, a distinguished body of Igbo elder statesmen with the wisdom and knowledge to oversee the selection process. The entire Igbo community will also play a key role in endorsing and celebrating these great achievers, making it a collective effort to recognize those who have contributed significantly to the progress and development of Igbo society.
