TINUBU AND THE PURSUIT OF ALTERNATIVE TRUTHS.

The hot pursuits of untruths, half truths, and what consistently is symptomatic of the alternative truths by the Tinubu government has become the norms of the presidency. Every truth is denied for want of perhaps alternative and non existent truths or just illusions. The nation is bedraggled with falsehoods and deceit with reckless abandon arising from the pursuits of banality and baseless illusions to ensure we continue to sink deeper and deeper. Who brought this calamity upon us?

Edo election has come and gone but leaves the truth in no man’s land with lots of sour tastes. The people are left to grapple with the untruths of the election that turned the losers to the winners. Some people danced and clapped with relish while Rome burned.

But those celebrating in the Presidential Villa knew the truth of who won and who lost the election. Its only more important for them to invent the alternative truth and run with it. Their survival lies in the illusion of democratic victory they’re busy celebrating while the rest of us remain deceived victims that must be thrown over the board at the high sea.

It is alarming, the rate at which the alternative truths are taking the reigns across all socioeconomic and political strata. At the last count, the presidency of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu has never been known to submit to one truthful fact among contentious issues to the governed. Its just a leadership of lies and white sepulcher. They turned themselves into alchemists of liars that uses lies as official governing template. No nation survives like that.

When a nation is living the lie and busy distancing from the truth, it is subsumed in the alchemy of the more you look, the less you see. Any nation built on the foundation of lies will only count days. Just like a new CIA report aptly forecasts that our end days and date will not surpass 2030. Can you beat that?

Take for instance the burning cataclysm of Petroleum products supply amid its dance of the musical chairs. It is another trite case of chasing the alternative truth by the Tinubu government. Everybody knows the truth but we only read lies from the government. It is demoralizing when you only get the wrong narratives and mundane tales from government thats supposed to lead in all things. What a shame.

The super monopolist and Begger thy countrymen, Aliko Dangote after shedding crocodile tears over NNPCL high price fixing and pretending to be opting to sell his Petroleum products for lower prices is now mocking Nigerians that the Petroleum prices may soon skyrocket towards N2000 per liter. This is after this man was paid a whopping $3.5 Billion dollars of Nigeria’s hard earned money by NNPCL, granted leave to lift our crude oil directly and pay in Naira, recused from foreign exchange for import of raw materials, recused from seafreight, cost and insurance, recused from port charges etcetera.

Dangote Refinery has been releived from virtually all foreign exchange entrapments and variables but his only wish now is to use the template of lies provided by NNPCL parasites to cripple Nigerians in the name of producing Petroleum products for us. By the way, Dangote Refinery started on a foundation of lies by claiming his Refinery costs $20 Billion dollars when it’s actual cost is not more than $7 Billion dollars. We have the data and records of mega refineries constructed in USA and Europe with more sophisticated technology.

Dangote is helping the presidency and NNPCL sustain its own lies. Its a quid pro quo situation for them where the alternative truth seems to bring them on the same table. But how can they be served if Nigeria boils? Who’s the bigger loser? Dangote and his invidious plotters in the presidency and NNPCL also have a duty to ensure the stability of this nation so their investments will not go to waste.

The alternative truth mantra of the Tinubu administration is also taking its toll on fawning pervasive national insecurity. The government of Ahmed Tinubu instead of working for a national healing process by granting unconditional pardon to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, he prefers alternative truth of judicial prosecution of same with nothing to show but embarrassing and perfidious adjournment. The Igbo nation frowns at that charade going on in the courts that’s daily breeding more discontent.

The National Assembly Igbo caucus, the Southeast governors, A National Assembly motion, and now the Southeast Traditional Rulers Council have all come out emphatically to call for an end to the illegal trials of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and for his immediate release. Why should Tinubu government ignore all these patriotic calls?

When the Yoruba sage and leader, late Obafemi Awolowo was trapped in Calabar prison during the 1967 to 1970 Biafra war on Igbo nation side, didn’t Ojukwu bring him out from prison and got him escorted home to his people in the spirit of national compromise?. What is the wisdom in continuing to hold Nnamdi Kanu and spite the Igbos? Does Tinubu and his tribe of Igbo hating advisers think they’ll remain on top forever? This is Nigeria.

The fall of Gowon and his tribe of middle belters who once controlled Nigeria and its leadership during the wartime and immediate postwar time Nigeria should serve as a big lesson to our new rulers. Yorubas were sometimes down too in Nigeria and Igbo leaders rallied round them. I remember Sam Mbakwe, Chief Ralph Obiora, Commodore Ndubuisi Kanu etal who fought with MKO Abiola and Tinubu himself during the days of NADECO entrenchment. His continued victimization of Igbos in his government should be halted to give room for national healing. Freeing Nnamdi Kanu will reposition his government for the real issues of rebuilding the national psyche and economy.

But Tinubu’s fellow kinsman and Yoruba Nation leader, Professor Banji Akintoye while lamenting that over 10,000 yorubas had been slaughtered in their forests by Fulani herders is advocating for Yoruba seccession from the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Much more than that number were also roundly slaughtered in the middle belt for the 8 years reign of the herders patron in office, Muhammadu Buhari. The fully armed fulani herdsmen are today still stuck in the forests across the country and sacking landowners and farmers while this government looks the other way like Buhari did for 8 years. A government not in search for the alternative truth would have tackled this obvious challenge.

This conundrum has led to orchestrated food shortages that is in turn plunging the nation into avoidable hunger. while our armed forces instead of protecting the farmers and landowners are busy protecting the intruders and herders that trespassed people’s farmlands. This hypocritical government instead of taking the intruders out of the forests and farmlands are busy resettling the victims in ID camps and sharing palliatives to hungry citizens in what is seen as another classic case of pursuing the alternative truth. What a government? What a country we all have?

Will the truth of restructuring of the National economy into geopolitical zones also be relegated for want of alternative truth? The nation will sink and perhaps be unable to even attain the 2030 doomsday date of final extinction predicted for us by the American CIA prognosticators. But in all of this, the truth, and not the alternative truth is what will save us from total collapse.
