Ikenna Ukwa Visit Enachioken Palace, Promises More Developmental Projects

The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Enachioken of Abiriba to formally intimate him and his council of chiefs of his emergence as the APC flagbearer for the House of Representatives seat.

Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, while addressing the Enachioken of Abiriba, HRM Eze (Barr.) Kalu Kalu Ogbu, the Ukpaghiri of Amogudu, HRH, Eze Eme Uguru Ikpoka, the Effa of Agborji, HRH Eze Benjamin Agu Igbe and the Alioke of Ihungwu, HRH Eze Ukiwe Otisi including the council of chiefs, Ikenna Ukwa disclosed that he is now an adopted Abiriba son. He noted that his relationship with Abiriba people has remained cordial over the years, and that he has formally registered as a member of the EKPANKUMA Age Grade in Abiriba.

“Abiriba has shown me enormous love and support. I will not disappoint in delivering meaningful projects that will improve the lives of our people when elected,” Ukwa said.

The APC candidate who was nicknamed OGBUA of Abiriba Enachioken by HRH Eze Eme Uguru, also appreciated the community for cooperating with the contractor during the installation of solar-powered street lights in Abiriba, a project he facilitated through the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

He further congratulated the people of Abiriba on the 2026 Itu-Eye ceremony and pledged to partner with and support the programmes and cultural activities of the community.

In their response, the Monarchs of Abiriba commended Ikenna Ukwa for fulfilling his promise of providing solar-powered street lights to the community including the provision of educational materials and registration of free external examinations which Abiriba benefited. They urged him to sustain his good works, noting that their royal blessings and prayers remain with him.

“He has not yet been elected but he has delivered projects. If given the mandate, we believe he will do more for the federal constituency,” the monarchs stated.
