Ikenna Ukwa Holds Interactive Session with Mgbaga Community, Promises More Development for Ebem Ohafia
The All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives flagbearer for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa held an interactive session with men, youths, and women of Mgbaga in Ebem Ohafia LGA of Abia State to discuss their needs and chart a way forward for development.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, a grandson and an in-law of Ebem Ohafia assured the community of his continued commitment to the development of Ebem and promised more democratic dividends for the area, adding that he has the capacity, resources and the contacts to bring the development the community has been yearning for, both in education, health, infrastructures, empowerment, human capital development and basic amenities that will better the lives.
“My wife is from Ebem and my great grandfather is from Ebem. So, let no one say I am from somewhere else. I am a grandson of Ebem Ohafia. Campaign will soon start and I will come back here and we will do great things for Ebem Ohafia. The election is not all about Ebem versus Amaekpu, it’s all about who will be the best candidate that will represent the people effectively. We have all the contacts in Abuja to bring development. I want to assure you that we won’t disappoint you. We will work very hard night and day to make everybody happy”, he stated.
Hon. Ikenna Ukwa also assured them that their concerns would form part of his legislative agenda if elected.
“More projects, more empowerment, and more opportunities are coming,” he said.
Speaking, Mr Mba Ibe, among others, expressed appreciation for Hon. Ikenna Ukwa’s people-oriented leadership and philanthropic initiatives. He specifically cited his role in attracting solar-powered street lights to Ebem and the provision of educational materials to schools within the community as interventions that have positively impacted livelihoods.
He commended Ikenna Ukwa for always identifying and remembering his roots and for projects executed without holding elective office. He further pledged their unalloyed support for his 2027 aspiration.
