
Ohafia Felicitates Alex Otti, Emetu on Third Anniversary in Govt.
The people of Ohafia in Abia State have extended warm felicitations to the Governor of Abia state, His Excellency Alex Otti and the Deputy Governor, Engineer Ikechukwu Emetu on the third anniversary of their administration on Oct. 29.
The Ohafia Improvement Union Inc (OIU), the apex socio-cultural organisation, applauded the Otti administration on behalf of the 26-community clan.
Prince Kalu Ikpemini, the OIU President-General praised the Governor and Deputy Governor for their significant milestones traversing the length and breadth of the state since the past three years, which he acknowledged are unprecedented in the governance history of the state.
“Your administration assumed office at a defining and critical moment in the history of Abia State, when the people deeply yearned for purposeful leadership, transparent governance, infrastructural rebirth, economic recovery, and the restoration of public trust in government institutions”
“Three years on, the evidence of purposeful governance is visible and widely acknowledged. From the extensive rehabilitation and reconstruction of critical road networks in Ohafia, Aba, Umuahia, and other parts of the state, to the renewed attention to urban sanitation and public infrastructure, your government has demonstrated a clear commitment to restoring the dignity and functionality of Abia State,” Prince Ikpemini said in a statement he personally signed for the OIU.
The OIU on behalf of Ohafia Monarchs, traditional rulers, community leaders, security agencies, women, youths and other stakeholders, extended the same warm congratulations to Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, Member representing Arochukwu and Ohafia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives as well as Hon. Kalu Nwoke, Member representing Ohafia South State Constituency, for their dedication to duty.
The Ohafia people are already planning to adopt Governor Otti as a proud son of Ohafia in recognition of his remarkable leadership and to also formalise the deep admiration, affection, and sense of kinship the Ohafia people feel toward the state’s first citizen, Ikpemi said in the statement syndicated by the OIU National Publicity Secretary, Chief Emele Onu.
”As you celebrate three impactful years in office, we pray that Almighty God grants you greater wisdom, strength, sound health, and divine guidance to continue the noble task of rebuilding, transforming, and repositioning Abia State for generations yet unborn” the P-G said. “The people of Ohafia remain proud partners in the collective pursuit of a peaceful, prosperous, united, and progressive Abia State” he added.
