ABIRIBA COMMUNAL IMPROVEMENT UNION (ACIU) GRAND CIVIC RECEPTION CEREMONY, ABA.
The Grand Civic Reception Ceremony held at the Enyimba Township Stadium, Aba, marked a momentous occasion as the Abiriba Community and the Executive Mayor of Ohafia Local Government Area, Chief Eleanya Kalu Kalu, formally welcomed the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.
The event drew a large crowd of dignitaries, traditional rulers, community leaders, and all Abiribarians within the state, reflecting the immense support and admiration for the Governor’s leadership in Abia State
In his address, Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu commended Governor Otti for his outstanding achievements over the past two years in office. He highlighted the Governor’s unwavering commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, and socio-economic reforms that have positively transformed Abia State. A Brand new Campaign Bus was donated for the Governor’s 2027 Campaign by the Abiriba Community.
However, the Mayor also used the occasion to bring to the Governor’s attention a pressing concern affecting his constituency. He lamented that the entire Ohafia Local Government Area has been without electricity for the past seven years. Chief Ojuu passionately appealed to the Governor for an urgent intervention to restore power supply, emphasizing the negative impact the situation has had on the local economy and quality of life.
Governor Otti, in his response, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reiterated his administration’s commitment to inclusive development across all local governments in the state. He assured the people of Abiriba and Ohafia LGA at large that their challenges would be addressed with urgency.
The event concluded with cultural displays, musical performances, and reaffirmed hope in the Governor’s agenda of restoring the pride of Abia State.
