PRESS RELEASE : COMMISSIONING OF OSSA ROAD; JAAC BUILDING AND FLAG OFF OF UMUAHIA VERSION OF ABIA PUBLIC TRANSPORT PROJECT.
His Excellency ,Dr Alex Otti OFR will today,29th May ,2024 be joined by His Excellency,CDRE Ebitu Ukiwe ( rtd.) GCON, former Chief of General Staff of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria to commission Ossa Road by 10:00am.
From Ossa Road,the Governor will proceed to the Trademore Event Compound by Okpara Square and will be joined by Senator Chris Adighije to flag-off the Umuahia version of the Abia Public Transport Project by 12:00pm.
Similarly, the Governor will also commission the LGA Joint Account Allocation Committee Building (JAAC) located at Ogurube Layout, Umuahia by 1:00pm.
The commissioning and flag-off events are part of activities organized to mark the state government’s one year anniversary .
Through this medium , all government appointees, traditional rulers,Town Union Executives,Market leaders , artisans,Women and youth groups are invited and encouraged to attend these events.
