Abia First Female Supreme Court Judge sworn -in.
Justice Uwa, the wife of the late Engr. Uzoma Uwa, a former Executive Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South LGA, is from Ovuoji village in Isiala Ngwa South LGA of Abia State. Justice Chidiebere Nwaoma Uwa was, before her elevation to the Court of Appeal in 2006, a judge of the Abia State High Court.
Educated in Nigeria, the UK and Kenya, Justice Chidiebere Nwaoma Uwa was born on October 26, 1958 and appointed a judge in Abia State in 1998.
Until her recommendation to the apex court, she was the presiding justice of the Kaduna Division of the Court of Appeal.
