BOARD OF INQUIRY ON ALLEGED IMPROPER CONDUCTS OF SOME TRADITIONAL RULERS IN THE STATE SUBMITS REPORT

The Board of Inquiry set up by the State Government to investigate allegations of improper conducts levelled against some Traditional Rulers in the State has submitted it’s report

Speaking during the Occasion the Hon Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Prince Uzor Nwachukwu Congratulated the Chairman and the Board Members for their bravity throughout the period they carried out their investigations.

Prince Nwachukwu praised the board for the high level of capacity and tenacity they exhibited in carrying out the assignment despite various challenges and limitations and assured them that their recommendations will be properly looked into.

The Hon Commissioner therefore used the Occasion to express the gratitude of the State Governor Dr Alex Otti (OFR) to the board Chairman and Members for a job well done.

Submitting the findings of the Board to the Hon Commissioner the Chairman of the Board, Justice Igbo Akomas Rtd thanked the State Government for finding them worthy to carry out the assignment and thanked all who contributed to the successful completion of the Inquiry with particular mention of the Chairman Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers Eze Linus Mba and the Attorney General/ Commissioner for Justice Bar Ikechukwu Uwana.

The Chairman therefore prayed the State Government to look into their recommendations and take the necessary actions required.

The Occasion attracted the presence of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Nneoma Florence Chidinma Nwogu PhD the Ist Deputy Chairman Abia State Traditional Rulers Council Eze Nelson Nmerengwa and Bar Mrs Nkechi Ikechi among others.
