Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Becomes Ondo State University, Owo
Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo has been proposed as Ondo State University, Owo.
This was announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu at a meeting on Tuesday with stakeholders of the Polytechnic as well as High Chiefs from Owo and Isuada communities.
The new University is expected to admit students during the 2024/2025 academic session.
AttNews Online Newspaper gathered that the current Polytechnic education system will be co-exist with the new University structure until it is phased out.
“The polytechnic Governing Council, management team, Deans of Faculties , High Chiefs representing, Owo, Isuada and Ondo State senior government officials headed by Oladuni Odu attended,” a source at the meeting told AttNews Online Newspaper.
