The Protest will take place on 27th October, 2023.
The press release reads:
“Special Announcement to all Support Groups that worked for the actualization of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 General election
Respected Leaders of Support Groups,
“Notice of Solidarity Gathering at the Gate of the Office of Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF)
“In anticipation of the forthcoming Federal Parastatals/Agencies Appointments, we urge all support groups to unite and rally their members nationwide at the Gate of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) on the 27th of October, 2023, at 10 a.m. We will come together to passionately advocate for the inclusion of those who tirelessly supported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s journey to victory, from the very outset before the primary election, throughout the election process, and into the general elections.
“It is with deep concern that we observe some who joined the campaign later or in the middle have already received appointments, while those who stood by Asiwaju Tinubu from the very beginning remain overlooked. These dedicated individuals expended their resources and time, often to the point of exhaustion, to ensure President Tinubu’s success. Many now find themselves stranded and disheartened.
“We earnestly beseech the Federal Government, especially the SGF, to hear our voices and recognize the unwavering support and dedication of those who have been with Asiwaju Tinubu since his early consultations before the Primary election. We yearn for the opportunity to contribute further to the development of our great nation under his leadership.
“With heartfelt appeal, Concerned members of Support Groups”
