Independence: FG Unveils Programmes For 63rd-anniversary Celebration
The Nigerian government has unveiled the schedule of activities for the 63rd anniversary of the nation.
The Secretary of the Government of the Federation, George Akume, disclosed the program for the 2023 Independence Day celebration during a World Press Conference held in Abuja on Monday.
This year’s theme is “Nigeria at 63, Renewed Hope for Unity & Prosperity.”
The outlined activities are as follows:
World Press Conference on Monday, 26th September, at the National Press Center, Radio House, Abuja, starting at 11:00 a.m.
Anniversary Symposium/Public Lecture on Thursday, 28th September, 2023, at the State House Conference Center, commencing at 10:00 a.m.
Lecture on Friday, 29th September, 2023, at the National Mosque Conference Center, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by Juma’at Prayer at the National Mosque at 1:00 p.m.
Presidential Broadcast scheduled for Sunday, 1st October, 2023, at 7:00 a.m.
Inter-Denominational Church Service set for Sunday, 1st October, 2023, at the National Christian Center, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Military Parade to take place on Monday, 2nd October, 2023, at the Presidential Villa, starting at 9:00 a.m.
