Niger Republic: It Is An Insult That One Of Us Is Being Held Hostage; It Is A Threat To Other Heads Of State- Tinubu
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has alleged that the ongoing captivity of Niger Republic President, Mohammed Bazoum is a threat to other Head of State. According to Arise Tv news, He said during an Ecowas summit that the current situation in the Niger Republic is an assault on every one of them. He stated further that it’s a challenging crisis in which Democratic elected Presidents must resolve.
He said, ”We have an hostage situation, an interruption to the properly elected government of Niger Republic. Your presence here reflects the commitment to democratic principles and value, I appreciate that. It’s a very challenging time and in this time, we must demonstrate our commitment to a sustainable fact that is clearly open to us.
That without freedom and democracy, there can be no end to poverty. The danger to all of us now is that one of us is being held hostage in the Niger Republic; his Excellency Mohammed Bazoum. What a calamity, it’s an assault on every one of us.”
