Sen. Theodore Orji: I Am Stepping Down As Senator To Give The Younger Generation An Opportunity

Senator Theodore Orji, a former governor of Abia State, decided it was important to explain his decision to leave the Nigerian Senate.

He made it very apparent that, he was making this decision, to allow the younger people in his state, a chance to participate in national governance.

The Nigerian Tribune news network, which broadcasts on social media, announced this event on its Twitter page.

They claimed that Theodore Orji, a former governor of the state of Abia, gave an explanation for why he decided not to run for re-election to the Senate, saying that, he made the decision to leave active politics, so that younger generations could make their own contributions to the advancement of the nation.

As a member of the University of Ibadan Board of Trustees, and after receiving an award, Senator Orji spoke with journalists, at the National Assembly complex in Abuja and dropped the hint.

Sen. Theodore Orji explained his sudden departure from politics, by stating that, he is stepping down from office, to allow the next generation more opportunities, and that is the reason he won’t be running for the Senate again.

He continued by saying that, he doesn’t anticipate that the younger generation, will act in a juvenile delinquent manner, when they get at work, because, he expects them to perform better than he did, in order to create a better society.
