ABIA APC IN A CAT AND MOUSE VENDETTA.
What is going on in Abia APC today is among the reasons I detest and disdain party loyalty and followership. In one failed swoop, you all are crated and buried in one grave.
Now, with the pernicious struggle for the soul of Abia APC which has taken the turn for the worst, the journey to political “igwenga” for the party is irreversible.
Every week now brings forth one vile pronouncement or the other from the courts depending on which side of the divide one belongs. The party has been torn to shreds while the members are just sitting ducks awaiting their final burial rites. It is that bad.
It is difficult for me to celebrate the latest fatwa against Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah as anything that can meaningfully help the party from ruins. It is still part of the strings of bad news plaguing the party. It is still one of the reasons why the party will continue its free fall. But what exactly is wrong with the Abia the politicians?.
I can tell you for free where all this will land. Failure. Abia APC is among the worst run political organizations you can ever imagine. An enclave of bitterness, one man show, clannishness, lack of inclusiveness, lack of fresh ideas, enclave of politically displaced politicians, celebrities of timidity, divide and rule prebendalists, philosophers of crab mentality, and most of all, among the worst affected of the Stockholm syndrome.
For the sake of deciphering a proper analysis of the causes and effects, Abia APC has been reduced to a haven of potentates, each with her own army of followership. The political serfdom is identified by the individual potentates in that order, High Chief Ikechi Emenike, Orji Uzo Kalu, Emeka Atuma, Nkeiruka Onyejiocha, Dr Uche Ogah, Chief Obinna Oriaku etcetera.
By the recent decimation of the potentates represented by Emeka Atuma and Uche Ogah by the courts, and with Uche Ogah possibly going to jail for forgery, their followers will inevitably scatter to different other parties for political hibernation.
The serfdom headed by OUK potentate is already a house standing on its own and working on its own and for its own. It’s an organization within an organization.
If elections are held today, Emenike potentate will be in high command in partnership with the potentates of remnants of Emeka Atuma, Nkeiruka Onyejiocha, etcetera.
Obinna Oriaku is neither here nor there in these subterranean arrangements.
In other words, this APC politically circumscribed has reduced itself to a ragtag army in the present circumstances. But what chances can such ragtag arrangements conduce in the form of giving results?. Your guess is as good as mine.
The issues of how APC in Abia went from a beautiful bride to jezebel or from top to bottom is an analysis that will best be left for future historians to grapple with.
But top among the reasons remain poor human management, one man show, and not carrying others along. These human traits point at just one mental sociological disorder. One tree cannot make a forest, one man cannot know it all, one man cannot play God in a sociopolitical patrimony. We have come to the end of this road.
I had warned and pleaded to all warring factions to come to the political table and sort themselves out in my most recent piece and divorce themselves from the courts but I was derided. The chicken is now home to roost.
By March 2023, Abia will choose its new governor without APC. They have played themselves out of the race.
