The remains of the paramount ruler of Okon-Aku Autonomous Community in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, HRM Eze U. K. Okam, JP, Nnaka III, have been accorded his final respect in a colourful burial ceremony on 23rd April 2022 in his home town.
Before his demise in December 2022, Eze Okam held different positions among royalties in Ohafia, his LGA, and Abia State. He was the former Chairman of Ndi Eze OHAFIA LGA, and also a one-time Chairman of Ndi Eze OHAFIA Clan.
Nnaka the III of Okon-Aku was a former member of Abia State Council of Ndi EZE and until his death, he was the Grand patron of Ndi Eze OHAFIA LGA.
In life as a younger man, his academic performance ensured that his name is still today, boldly written in OHAFIA Central School Elu OHAFIA in the honour board as the overall best graduating student that earned him a scholarship to prestigious Hopewell Training Institute Calabar.
Before his call to serve his people, he worked in the shell as a Senior Manager, and after retirement, established a business in Umuahia before he ascended the throne in 1983 as Nnaka III of OKON AKU OHAFIA.
His burial was graced by who is who in Abia State as many tributes in his honour attested to his legacies as a custodian of peace and embodiment of truth and positivity.
