SCHOOLS IN OKAMU AND OHAFOR RECEIVES EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS FROM IKENNA UKWA
The Team Ikenna Ukwa, yesterday stormed schools in Okamu and Ohafor in Ohafia LGA to distribute educational materials as part of the ongoing “Back To School” program of Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa and his wife, Lolo Jennifer E. Ukwa, under the auspices of their foundation, the Ikenna & Jenn Ukwa Foundation, in collaboration with the Ikenna Ukwa Progressive Group.
The schools visited were:
- Collins Memorial Primary School, Okon-Aku Ohafia,
- Ambele Primary School, Amuma Ohafia,
- Eziafor Primary School, Eziafor Ohafia, and
- Uma Ukpai Primary School, Asaga Ohafia
At Uma Ukpai Primary School, Asaga Ohafia, the team coincidentally met the school during its Parents Teachers Association (PTA) meeting and interacted with parents.
The parents who expressed deep gratitude to Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa for always remembering the school in his educational programs, disclosed that this is the second time the school is benefiting from his educational intervention, and described him as an education-friendly leader because of his passion for educational development in the constituency.
They further disclosed that they are aware of his promise to institute a One Hundred Million Naira (N100,000,000) Educational Trust Fund for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency when elected, adding that such a gesture, when implemented, will go a long way to enhance teaching and learning and give pupils and students the opportunity to achieve their academic pursuits.
They prayed God to grant him victory at the polls to enable him actualize his vision and dreams for the federal constituency, adding that the federal constituency deserves a leader like him who has vision, determination and passion for selfless service and development.
The distribution exercise continues across other communities in the federal constituency.
