IKENNA UKWA PROMISES SOLAR STREET LIGHTS FOR UGWUNCHARA PLANTATION, OUK PROMISES ROAD AND SCHOOL
Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa , the APC Candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, has promised to install solar-powered street lights for Ugwunchara Plantation, a remote settlement in Abiriba, Ohafia LGA.
Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa made the promise while addressing the people of Ugwunchara during the ward tour of the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
Hon. Ikenna Ukwa said he was touched by the plight of the people who are living without electricity and basic social amenities despite their immense contribution to food production in Ohafia LGA.
He assured them that he will immediately ensure Ugwunchara Plantation is illuminated with solar streetlights to improve security and allow socio-economic activities even at night.
Also addressing the people, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu promised to construct their access road and build a school for the community.
Senator Kalu noted that it was disheartening that in this modern era, Ugwunchara still has no access road and no school, making it difficult for children in the area to obtain education.
He promised to commence the construction of the road and the school building immediately to enable them access their community easily and for their children to go to school like other children.
The people of Ugwunchara Plantation, who were full of joy, thanked Senator Kalu and Chief Ikenna Ukwa for remembering them, describing them as true leaders who care for the downtrodden.
They prayed for them and vowed to give their maximum support to the APC in 2027.
