MAMMOTH CROWD AS SENATOR ORJI UZOR KALU TOURS OKAMU AND OHAFOR WARDS IN OHAFIA
It was a rousing and historic welcome on Thursday as the Senator representing Abia North, Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, toured Okamu and Ohafor Wards in Ohafia LGA of Abia State.
The former Governor of Abia State was received by a mammoth crowd comprising men, women, youths and various support groups from all the villages in the wards, who trooped out in large numbers to show their love and solidarity for the OUK Movement and the APC.
Also on ground to receive the Senator was the APC House of Representatives Candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa alongside the House of Assembly Candidate for Ohafia South State Constituency, Hon Nelson Uchechukwu Destiny.
Speaking at the tour, Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa thanked the people of Okamu and Ohafor Wards for the overwhelming reception accorded to Senator Kalu. He assured the people that the APC team has all it takes to transform and bring renewed hope to the people.

He noted that with Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in the Senate and with himself in the House of Representatives by the grace of God and the support of the people in 2027, Arochukwu and Ohafia LGAs will witness unprecedented development and quality representation.
“What you are seeing today is a sign that our people have accepted the APC. Okamu and Ohafor have spoken. The entire Ohafia has spoken. We are ready to deliver quality representation that will bring federal presence, jobs, infrastructure and bills and motions that will be impactful to the constituents and the Nation at large”.
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in his address thanked the people for their steadfast support and the APC, and urged them to continue to stand with the party that has shown capacity to deliver.
Senator Kalu promised continuous quality representation in the Senate, adding that the Ebem-Asaga-Ndi-Ibe-Amangwu-Okon road has been captured in the budget and contractors will soon come to the site to commence reconstruction on the road, which he constructed while he held sway as the Governor of Abia State.
Earlier, in Achichi Ohafia, the former Abia Governor met with the Council of Ohafia Monarchs (O’no’ko’ Nde Ezieogo Ohafia), chaired by the Udumeze Ohafia, Ezie Ohamoha, Elder Awa Oji Udonsi, where he had an interactive session with the monarchs and appraised them on his performance in the Senate and the progress and development of Ohafia, Abia North and Abia State in general.
“I thanked our revered traditional rulers for their wisdom, leadership and commitment to consistently upholding peace, unity and justice across the 26 villages of Ohafia.
Our traditional institutions remain critical partners in the development of our communities and the preservation of the values and traditions that bind our people together. Ohafia is home to me, and it is always good to be home”, Orji said.
