There was widespread jubilation across Nkporo on Monday as the APC House of Representatives Candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa extended cash gifts and other relief items to women and the elderly in all the wards in Nkporo, Ohafia LGA of Abia State.
The gesture, described as part of his commitment to prioritize the welfare of women, especially the vulnerable and aged, was aimed at helping families navigate the present economic challenges.
Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, who was represented by the APC Abia North Deputy Chairman, Chief Mba Imo personally interacted with the women in each ward. He said the donation was in fulfillment of his promise to place women’s welfare at the center of his representation.
He stated that through the Ikenna and Jenn Ukwa Foundation, which Chief Ikenna Ukwa co-founded with his wife, numerous interventions have already been extended to men, youths, and women across the constituency, long before seeking elective office.
