Breaking News: Ikenna Ukwa Announces N100 Million Educational Trust Fund for Arochukwu/Ohafia Constituency
Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, the APC House of Representatives Candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, has announced plans to establish a N100 Million Educational Trust Fund for pupils and students in primary, secondary and Tertiary institutions across the federal constituency if elected in the next general elections.
Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa made the announcement today while answering questions from newsmen in Abuja. He said the initiative is aimed at reducing the burden of school fees, improving learning environment, and ensuring that no child is denied education due to financial constraints.
According to him, the trust fund will be managed by a board of trustees drawn from educationists, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and youth representatives to ensure transparency and fairness.
“Education is the greatest equalizer. If you give a child quality education, you have given that child a future. This N100 Million Educational Trust Fund will provide scholarships, pay WAEC and JAMB fees, supply educational materials, and support our best-performing students from primary to tertiary level and also build and renovate dilapidated classroom blocks. We will start from day one when I get to the National Assembly,”Ikenna said.
He added that special provisions will be made for orphans, children of widows, and students with disabilities across the 2 LGAs.
Chief Ikenna Ukwa assured that the fund will be launched within the first 100 days of his tenure and will operate annually to cover indigent but brilliant students in the federal constituency.
