2027: Amb. Osita Offor Urges Ndi-Abia to Secure PVCs, Translate Support for Gov. Alex Otti into Votes
Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburugburu), has called on Ndi-Abia across the state and in the diaspora to move beyond verbal support and actively defend the gains of good governance by registering with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), stressing that the PVC remains the only lawful instrument through which the people can decide who governs Abia State in 2027.
According to him, history has shown that progressive leadership can only be sustained when citizens consciously participate in the electoral process. He warned that apathy, voter disengagement, or failure to register creates a vacuum that anti-progress forces are always eager to exploit.
Ambassador Offor noted that Governor Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, has redefined governance in Abia State through visible reforms in infrastructure, civil service discipline, healthcare delivery, education, and financial accountability. He stressed that these gains must be protected through collective civic responsibility, beginning with mass PVC registration.
“Support without votes is ineffective,” he said, adding that “no matter how popular a government is, it can only be renewed through the ballot. The PVC is the people’s voice, shield, and power.”
He further urged Ndi-Abia to identify with Abia Arise structures in their respective wards, communities, and local government areas, describing the movement as a grassroots-driven civic platform committed to mobilizing popular support for Governor Otti’s reform agenda. According to him, Abia Arise provides an organized avenue for community engagement, voter education, and democratic participation at the local level.
Ambassador Offor emphasized that the 2027 election will not merely be a contest of political parties, but a referendum on performance versus propaganda, accountability versus entitlement, and progress versus regression. He cautioned that forces threatened by transparency and reform are already regrouping, and the only way to stop them is through overwhelming voter participation.
He also appealed to youths, women, first-time voters, and residents who have never voted before to seize the moment and register, noting that the future of Abia State depends on the decisions made today. “Democracy rewards those who show up,” he said, “and Abia must not surrender its future to indifference.”
Concluding, Ambassador Offor reaffirmed that Governor Alex Otti’s leadership represents a rare opportunity to institutionalize good governance in Abia State, but insisted that sustaining it requires collective vigilance, organization, and participation at the grassroots.
“Register. Get your PVC. Join Abia Arise. Protect the future of Abia,” he declared.
