IKENNA UKWA HOSTS ABIA STATE APC EXECUTIVE MEMBERS
…As Party Excos Extols His Giant Strides in Projecting & Unifying The Party Members Across The State
The Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President of Nigeria, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa today led some APC stakeholders from Ohafia LGA to an enlarged meeting of the Abia State Executive members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which he hosted in the party State Secretariat, Umuahia, Abia State.
The meeting between Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa and the executive members of the APC in Abia State availed the party leaders the opportunity to express their appreciation for his untiring contributions to the party and philanthropist gestures in the State.
Speaking, the leader of the delegation from Ohafia LGA, Chief George Nnanna Kalu introduced Ikenna Ukwa to the State party leaders and also used the medium to inform the party leaders of the tremendous efforts of Ikenna Ukwa in unifying and ensuring the peace and progress of the party at the ward and LGA levels, especially in Ohafia and Arochukwu LGAs, and the State at large.
Chief George Kalu also reeled out the legacy projects and philathropic gestures of Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa in various communities in Abia, even when he is not holding any elective position. He said through his efforts and contacts, Ikenna Ukwa has attracted solar powered street lights in Ohafia and Arochukwu, embarked on free eye and medical outreach in Ohafia and Bende communities, empowered artisans with sewing machines and distributed food items and fertilisers to women in Ohafia , including the football competition he sponsored for the three clans that make up Ohafia LGA and the distribution of academic materials for pupils and students in Ohafia LGA among others.
High Chief Uche Ogboso, therefore, formally presented Ikenna Ukwa to the State Excos and reaffirmed the trust and confidence they have in him considering his assessibility, exemplary leadership style and unprecedented achievements.
In their separate speeches, Chief Chinedum Adindu, Chairman of All LGA Chairmen of APC Abia State, His Honour, Chief N.O Ukata, Zonal Chairman, Abia Central, Hon. Mrs Chino Cecilia Erondu, JP, the Abia State woman leader of the APC and Sir Justice Onwumere, the Abia South zonal chairman of the APC said they are overwhelmed with joy as Ikenna Ukwa has come to identify with the party leaders at the State level, and having heard of his exploits and numerous initiatives aimed to better the lots of the people, they promised to align with him and other like-minds in order to strengthen and move the party forward.
The Abia State Chairman of the APC, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, praised Ukwa’s pedigree and efforts, promising to work with him to ensure the party’s success. He charged the stakeholders to rise to the occasion and put more efforts even as the National leader of the party and the President of Nigeria, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged all party leaders and Stakeholders across the nation to shun personal interest and work collaboratively for the unity, peace and continuous progress of the party at all levels.
“Let me use this opportunity to thank you Ikenna Ukwa for all that you have been doing for the party, including getting a befitting and well equipped office for the party in Ohafia LGA. I am excited because of the quality of the people that have brought you to the State party office. That alone speaks for itself beyond what they have said about you. When it is the time for the party to speak, we will tell them we have been working with you and also playing your own role as a staunch party member. On behalf of the State Excos of the party, I welcome you once again and feel free to participate in all our activities “, he added.
In response, Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa expressed his gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to promoting peace, unity, and love among party members, as well as working towards the party’s victory in future elections.
Highlights of the meeting was the official handing over of the party symbol to Ikenna Ukwa as a formal way of recognizing and welcoming him to the party at the State level.
