2024 OHAFIA DAY CELEBRATION ABUJA: 4 Onwa Ohafia Members To Be Decorated With Honours And Awards.
Dr Alex Chioma Otti OFR, Governor of Abia State; His Deputy Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu NSE, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (Senator Representing ABIA North), Hon. Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa( Member, Representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Fed. Constituency) along with other high-profile personalities, are expected to grace the 2024 Ohafia Day celebration, organised by Ohafia Improvement Union (OIU) Abuja Branch.
The event, titled ‘Exterminate Vandalism: Let There Be Light in Ohafia’, is scheduled for Saturday, 7 December, at Old Parade Ground, Abuja, starting at 10 a.m.
According to a statement signed by Chief Kalu Idika Okwara (President) and Prince Iyke Imaga (Chairman, Event Planning Committee), the Ohafia Day celebration “offers a unique opportunity for Umu Ohafia to connect, celebrate their shared heritage, and strengthen community ties.”
Onwa Ohafia Social Club of Nigeria Members including it’s National President Onwa James Okoro Ulu will be honored and decorated. Other Onwa Ohafia Social Club Members to be honored include Onwa Prince Kalu Nkata(National Secretary) and Onwa Nkem Palmer. The Chief host/OIU ABUJA President Onwa Chief Kalu Idika Okwara is also a member of Onwa Ohafia Social Club of Nigeria.
This year’s event will be chaired by a former Attorney General of Abia State, Chief Umeh Kalu, SAN, while the Royal Father of the Day will be His Royal Regency, Engr Uma Agbai Olugu, Regent of Udumeze Ohafia. Chief Mrs Nkechi Jacob, known as Odiuko Na Mba 1, will serve as the Mother of the Day.
