New Era, New Leadership in Ohafia LGA
Chief Dr David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex hands over to Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu, ensuring continuity and progress.
Yesterday, November 5, marked a significant milestone for Ohafia Local Government Area as Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex handed over the reins to Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu. The ceremony, held at the council secretariat, was graced by the esteemed presence of His Royal Majesty King Kalu Kalu Ogbu (Esq) and other notable, very Highly Esteemed Royal Fathers in Ohafia LGA.
In his farewell address, Chief David expressed his gratitude to the people of Ohafia for their unwavering support during his tenure. He appealed to the community to extend the same respect and cooperation to the incoming mayor, Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu, ensuring a seamless transition. He also offered his heartfelt prayers for the new Mayor’s success, hoping that Chief Eleanya would surpass his achievements.
Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu, in his inaugural address, thanked Chief Onuoha for his dedication to the community and promised to build upon the foundation laid by his predecessor. He expressed his joy and commitment to serving the people of Ohafia, vowing to work tirelessly to address the challenges facing the local government area.
The ceremony was a testament to the democratic process and the peaceful transfer of power. With Chief Kalu at the helm, of Ohafia Local Government Area is poised for continued growth and development.
