AGAIN OKON-AKU PEOPLE REJECT THE CONDUCT OF ELECTION OF NNAKA IV OUTSIDE THEIR HOME LAND:
SAY, OKON IS PEACEFUL FOR ANY ELECTION TO BE HELD.

Today Friday May 17th 2024, The Entire Okon-Aku People Trooped Out To Their Village Square In A Bid To Hear The Massage Of The Council Of Chiefs.

It Was A Sober Moment And A Day Of Willful Reflection For The Community As They Watch Helplessly The Destruction Of Their Ancestral Land, It’s Totem, Symbol And Beliefs Go Down The Drain.

Addressing The Mammoth Crowd Who Have Earlier Matched Peacefully Round The Community And Birthed At The Village Square, The Speaker Okon-Aku Council Of Chiefs, Chief Oge Ume Told The People That The Purported Election For The Office Of Nnaka The IV Has Become Political, According To him “I Can Recall Vividly The Process Of Electing Nnaka In Time Past Starting From Nnaka 1st To Nnaka 111, It Has Always Been Done At Our home Stead Okon And Wondered Why The Celection Of Nnaka IV will Be Done At Ohafia Local Government Headquarters Ebem Ohafia.

Contributing, A member Of The Council, Chief Uche Ikenga And The Woman Leader, Okon-Aku Autonomous Community Madam Enyidiya Etea Strongly Condemned The Exercise And Demanded That Since The Celection Of Nnaka IV Is Taking A Different Twist Within The Community They Have Collectively Advised That The Installation Of An Ezieogo Who Will Thereafter Mid Wife The Process Of Emergence Of Nnaka, They Pointed Out That they are not against Any Candidate As All Candidate Are Their Sons But Against The Process Whic is Alien To The Community.

Meanwhile, Okon-Aku Council Of Chiefs Have Advised Her People To Remain Peaceful As They Seek For The Right Thing To Be Done According To Tradition, Adding That What The Community Need Is Peace, Unity And Development Across The Community At The Moment.
