Jubilation As Pink House(Dr. Kingsley Onwuka Kalu House) Emerge The Overall Winner Of Ofali Agwu Primary School 2026 Annual Inter-House Sports Sponsored By The Alumni Association
There was complete atmosphere of joy and jubilation in Ofali Agwu Primary School and Amaekpu Ohafia generally yesterday as the Pink house whose Patron is Dr. Kingsley Onwuka Kalu won the overall prize for the sporting event.
The event was Chaired by Hon. Daniel Eke Urum, Councillor Isiama Ward and Deputy Speaker Ohafia Legislative Assembly. The Head Mistress of the School Mrs Amy Uka in her welcome address commended the Alumni for sponsorship of the event and charged them to continue to partner with school in developmental projects.
The Chairman in his opening remarks, applauded the Alumni for sponsorship of the event and said it is one of the ways to give back to the institution that made one and giving back to Community as corporate social responsibility. He also praised Governor Otti for turning the school to a model school with the numerous construction works going on.
The Special Guest of Honour Hon. Chief Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa who was ably represented by his Parents Chief Engr. & Mrs Eke Ukwa because he was far away USA commended the organisers of the event and also applauded Governor Otti for making the school look like what you see abroad.
The Ohafia LGA Education Secretary Dr. Mrs Ngozi Oke Kalu commended the Alumni for organising the event and promised to always support the school events with her team.
Other Dignitaries at the event were the Principal of Ofali Agwu Secondary school Chief Ume Imaga; Chief Smart from Asaga Ohafia; Chief Lucas Eme Onu Uche, Abia North Chairman of APC Dr. Mba Imo, Former Head Mistress of the School Mrs. Ngozi Anya, Representatives of Amaekpu Development Union, Representatives of Ohafia Sports Council and many others.
The Chairman of the Planning committee Chief Dr. Uduma Nnate in his closing remarks congratulated the Winner Pink house and others. He thanked the school for giving the Alumni the opportunity to host the event. He also conveyed the goodwill message of the Alumni President and Chief Host of the event Engr. Dr. Nnanna Agwu Emele who is in far away Canada. He assured them that the Alumni will continue to embark on other developmental projects that will positively impact on the children and the school in general.
