This argument is built more on speculation than facts.
First, Governor Alex Otti has consistently maintained a civil and respectful relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Governance in Nigeria is not warfare; it requires cooperation between federal and state governments regardless of party differences. That is the essence of constitutional federalism.
Second, no governor can control every social media comment made by supporters across the country. Social media is an open space where millions express opinions independently. Attempting to attribute every online criticism to Governor Otti is neither fair nor realistic.
Third, the claim that Otti has not acknowledged federal support is inaccurate. On several occasions, the Abia government has worked constructively with federal agencies, particularly on federal roads and security cooperation. That is responsible governance, not political hostility.
Fourth, politics should not be reduced to loyalty tests. Supporting policies that benefit citizens while also engaging in democratic debate is normal in any functioning democracy. Statesmen build bridges; they do not burn them.
Finally, Abians are intelligent voters. They will judge leaders not by online propaganda but by visible governance outcomes—roads rebuilt, salaries paid, schools reopened, and economic stability restored.
Governor Otti’s focus remains clear: govern Abia responsibly and cooperate with the Federal Government where it benefits the people. Politics should never distract from that duty.
