ABIA INFRASTRUCTURE MANDATE (AIM) FELICITATES WITH DR. ALEX OTTI ON TURNING TO THE DIAMOND AGE OF 60YRS.
The Board of Trustees and esteemed members of Abia Infrastructure Mandate salutes Governor Alex Otti OFR, his family, the Abia state government and his numerous supporters as they celebrate his new diamond age of 60 years.
As the governor of the state, he has endeared the hearts of majority of Abia people through infrastructural recalibration of the state which are there for all to see. His caterpillar revolution in the state is being felt across all the 17 local governments and is impacting the statewide economy.
Abia Infrastructure Mandate are particularly inspired by the turnaround in Aba from the garbage dump capital it became under the erstwhile administrations to an investors paradise of today in just under 2 years of Governor Otti’s purposeful administration.
We also will mention the fact that every part of Abia state is now accessible especially Arochukwu and some parts of Ohafia local governments that were hitherto cut off the Abia landmark due to broken road access.
Other access roads, linking Bende to Ikwuano, Item to Akaeze in Ebonyi state, a thoroughfare towards Enugu, The dualization of city tower to boundary with Imo state at Onuimo with proposed flyover to replace the city tower, the dualization of Umuikaa junction to boundary with Imo State, Umuopara ring road opening up the New Umuahia city towards Umunwanwa and Ubakala, the proposed new flyover linking the New City with the old city at Ubakala junction, the road linking Obingwa to Oboro Ikwuano, the completion of Ikot Ekpene road to join Akwaibom, and so many other infrastructural initiatives like investment in the “Abia ring fence island” a new power distribution project to end electricity supply starvation in Abia state.
While we will agree with cynics of the existence of some grey areas and policy gaps that needs to be worked on concerning transparency and good governance in the state, Abia Infrastructure Mandate believes that the management of the state and its resources is still giving us above average scorecard.
Therefore we will use this opportunity of the celebration of the governor’s 60 years milestone to wish him well and to urge him not to rest on his oars till he accomplish all his goals.
